After working as a Dental Hygienist for 15 years, experiencing intermittent neck pain, I met with my neighbor while I was outdoors with my daughters. He suggested a career as a health insurance agent and gifted me with a book to study for the license exam. I was intrigued by the idea and started to explore the possibility of changing my profession. Consequently, a few years later I have successfully transitioned into my current role as a Medicare Specialist.
What you’re most proud of / what readers should know about your work / what sets you apart from others.
Three words that describe my work are conscientiousness, reliability, and integrity. As a Medicare Broker, I’m conscious that this is not just a healthcare plan that you can always make a change. Educating seniors on the pros and cons of the plan options is imperative. I’m reliable in that you can trust I will complete the task correctly and promptly. I’m always willing to make a special effort to provide exceptional service. What sets me apart from others is knowledge. Not only knowledge of the Medicare products but the knowledge of how the healthcare system works. There are no surprise bills when you are educated on the Medicare plan and how it relates to doctors and hospital billing. Lastly, the most important is Integrity. I will always give you an honest review of your plan options. Honesty and loyalty are essential to me.
What does success mean to you / what gives you most gratitude?
Success for me is a journey of consistency and perseverance. It is staying on track with the small efforts that are repeated day in and day out. Gratitude is the feeling of thankfulness for the things and people that make life better. Meaningful connections give me the most gratitude. If it’s a friend who becomes a sister while being there in a difficult time, a client who comes back and says Juliana thank you if it wasn’t for you, I would not be able to get the treatment I needed, or when you can touch someone life with a word or an act of kindness that makes a difference in them, these meaningful connection gives me a sense of completeness and gratitude.
What do you think is most unique about the city/population of Boca Raton and working with this community?
Boca Raton has its beauty and charm, but it is most unique for its cultural diversity and vibrancy. It is a melting pot of different cultures and backgrounds with people from all parts of the world. Working with this community is an enriching experience. Learning from my client’s perspectives and stories is a blessing. To see how we are so different and so alike at the same time is beautiful. Boca Raton celebrates this diversity making it a wonderful place to visit and live.
