Phillip, give our readers a brief intro about what you do and how you got started.
Atlantic Home Inspections was started by my father David Ribeiro when he was working as a realtor and notice a gap to fill in the home inspection industry. David worked in real estate magazine publishing for 26 years before his time as a realtor and home inspector so he cares about the details and providing an easy to read but informative inspection report. Me and David work together at every inspection giving our clients two eyes to look for any defects or potential problems. David keeps his real estate license which allows us access to MLS, Supra and gated neighborhoods. Besides residential home inspections we are both qualified to do wind mitigation and 4 point insurance inspections which many home buyers and owners will need. Mold testing at homes we do a home inspection at is available if the need arises. Our company is based in Boca Raton but we serve clients from Fort Lauderdale to Port St. Lucie.
What have been your biggest challenge(s) so far?
Our biggest challenge so far is balancing a quality inspection while also presenting defects to the clients without scaring them. We deal with facts and share the defects and concerns to our clients without alarming them while also pointing out the positives observed during the inspection.
What you’re most proud of / what readers should know about your work / what sets you apart from others.
What sets us apart is that we are a family business and inspect every home as if we were inspecting it for a family member. We take our time and examine each home with a fine lens and two sets of eyes. All of our work is warrantied for a set time after the inspection is completed so our clients can rest easy. Each client goes home with a 3 ring binder that has any permits available for the property, information on our warranties and a book on how to maintain your home in Florida.
What does success mean to you / what gives you most gratitude?
Success to us in the home inspection business is providing our clients with an inspection that allows them to know exactly what they are getting into and make an informed decision moving forward. We try to make the inspection process the least stressful part of the home buying experience. We especially love to help and guide first time home buyers through the potentially scary journey that is buying their first home.
What do you think is most unique about the city/population of Boca Raton and working with this community?
Boca Raton has many of the finest members in each field/career and it is a pleasure working with many realtors and other business owners who are based in Boca. The people in Boca Raton like the best of the best, and that is what we provide at Atlantic Home Inspections!
